Resettable fuses - Repeatable security
Overcurrent and temperature protection. Resettable fuses for voltage ranges up to 60 V (AC/DC). In a fault condition (short circuit / overload) the PolySwitch warms up and trips from low resistance to high resistance. This limits the fault current to a few mA only. After the power supply is switched off, the PolySwitch resets to its normal resistance condition, and is immediately servicable again. Also available as SMD.

Properties
- Overcurrent protection
- Low base resistance
- Latching (noncycling) operation
- Automatic resettability
- Short time to trip
- Small dimensions
PolySwitch resettable fuses are conductive polymeric PTC devices. When heated, e.g. by an overcurrent or a short circuit, they react like traditional fuses, tripping from a low-resistance to a high-resistance state. PolySwitch resettable fuses are available in a variety of different dimensions and shapes: Surface mount, radial or axial leaded devices, flat or chip-shaped, according to your requirements.
